Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (PC)

"The best RPG for Xbox period."

Supreme Commander (PC)

"I thought Total Annihilation was one of the best games ever. I enjoy the improvements to SC. Graphics are very nice"

Titan Quest (PC)

"A blatant Diablo clone, still has a lot to bring to the table. A little more depth than Diablo, which is good i suppose"

Heroes of Might & Magic (MAC)

"I love this franchise. Really got into HMM IV. Nice blend of turn based and RPG. Very addictive!"

Mass Effect (X360)

"I enjoyed quite a bit, but it felt a little unfinished. A little too tidy for me. I love Bioware, and think this is a good game. I think KOTOR is better (but I'm a sucka for Star Wars)"

Neverwinter Nights (PC)

"Genre breaking RPG action. I think this was one of the best RPGs to come out in the past five years."

Neverwinter Nights II (PC)

"Started playing, but just couldn't get into it. Perhaps burnt out with classic D&D..."

Pharaoh (PC)

"I love these city building games. This was the first that caught my eye, and I've played pretty much all that followed. "

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (DS)

"What a delightful puzzle game. Take the brain working of 3 tile puzzle action, with customizable RPG elements, and create a fun time waster"

Quake (MAC)

"Quake I and II are equal in my mind to the goodness of Doom. I played the heck out of Quake 2. The graphics were good for the time, and the gameplay solid."

Quake 4 (PC)

"I enjoyed, but maybe b/c it was Quake. I didn't get as into it as I thought I would, sadly. Still beat it and replayed a few times."

Rise of Nations (PC)

"I liked both iterations of this game. A logical expansion over the simple Empire Earth series. Takes that gameplay and makes it persistent."

Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends (PC)

"I enjoyed all of the "Rise" games. I didn;t find this one to be as replayable or deep as RoN, but still fun. Solid core gameplay"

Sacred (PC)

"A serious sleeper title. I loved the open world and gameplay. very immersive, and tons to do. "

Sim City (ATST)

"It's Sim City. Need I say more?"

Sins of a Solar Empire (PC)

"A solid space sim game. Not quite as deep as I expected it would be, but still fun. I loved Masters of Orion and Spaceward Ho!, and this falls into that same vein. Good graphics and sound."

Spore (PC-MAC)

"I think it is a great title. Feels a little like a bunch of mini games, the real action is in the space stage. Talk about mind-blowing. Outside of the DRM issues, I recommend to everyone. "

StarCraft (PC)

"The game that defined RTS. So much fun! Play it!"

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC)

"The seminal next gen title. Not perfect by any means, but the overall game play, RPG elements and quality are top notch. And it was made with the Gamebryo engine!"

Assassin's Creed (PS3)

"Technically not finished, and I don''t play any more. I found the initial game play to be very interesting and fluid, but as time wore on, I just lost interest. Not very engaging for a long stretch."

Baldur's Gate (PC)

"One of the best D&D IPs out there. Loved BG II!"

Bioshock (PC)

"Played through twice, killing all the Little Sisters once and saving them all once. A great story, for sure, and a lot of fun. I must confess that I still am a bigger fan of System Shock."

Civilization IV (PC)

"Been a big fan of Civ games from the first one. Civ 4 made so many improvements to game play - IMO, the best turn-based strategy game out there. And the fact that it was made with Gamebryo doesn't hurt."

Company of Heroes (PC)

"One of the best RTS games of all time. Very fluid and intuitive. "

Diablo (PC)

"The one that started it all - a classic!"

Diablo II (PC)

"Took the good things in Diablo I, and made it that much better. The fact that it is still played today is a testament to it's quality and playability."

Doom 3 (PC)

"If it is named Doom, I've played it. Some of my fondest gaming memories in high school revolve around all night sessions of playing Doom I and II. A fun FPS."

Dungeon Siege II (PC)

"I really enjoyed these games by CT. Definitely an attempt to harness the 4X gamers that Diablo jump-started. Not as much replayability"

FEAR (PC)

"I didn't find this game to be all that. I played on both PC and 360, and just didn't feel it. Felt like every other FPS out there..."

Gears of War (X360)

"A lot of fun, but pretty standard FPS fare, IMO. I loved the cover system, though. One of the best out there. Good story, too."

Grand Theft Auto III (PS2)

"The one that broke the open world market wide open. I loved this game - played for hundreds of hours. I think it is the most digestible of all the GTA games."

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2)

"Rented it and played it for about 2 hours. I did not like it at all - felt like the same game as III or VC. Oh well..."

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2)

"I couldn't get into this one as much as GTA III. Perhaps b/c I played that one so much? Not as much a fan of open world games as I once was..."

Half-Life (PC)

"Really amazing story, and fun gameplay. The spiritual successor to the Doom series."

Half-Life 2 (PC)

"Played it all the way through, but didn't see what all the hype was about. Definitely had some unique moments - maybe b/c my computer was old and decrepit?"
